Grandma and Grandpa

My parents came to visit. I hope that I can speak for them too when I say that we had a lot of fun. Dad insisted that we go to a pumpkin patch. Each of the girls picked a pumpkin. When we got home, the girls ripped the cold, wet, slimy guts out of the pumpins to transform them into Jack-o-Lanters. (Kris, I thought that you would like the descriptive pumpkin carving details.) I don't know who was more entertained, Dad or the girls. Andrew enjoyed watching from a distance with his biter biscuit. For him, it was like dinner and a movie.

Happy Birthday Sammi!

Sammi turned four last week. She was very excited about her birthday. She literally counted down the days for the last three months. The day after her birthday, she began the count-down for next year. She is pretty excited that there are only 353 days to go! She has grown up so much so quickly. We had her party on Saturday. It was very fun for her to have some old Milwaukee friends that were willing to make the drive and some new friends, too.

Oh, and she finally got that golden ticket she was waiting for!

For the birds!

I'm not sure that the Canadian Geese got the message that cold weather is on the way. They are everywhere. Have you ever see the movie "The Birds"? It is an old Alfred Hitchcock movie. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it. You will never look at a flock of birds the same again.
